I think it's a winner in every sense of the word, and the story is more accessible than Saga. BUT we shall see. Issue 2 and 3 could be dogs . I doubt it, but it could happen. MAJOR differences between this and Saga: RRP no other variants for #1 Broads LOVE Saga Who is to say women don't love this book? Also, and this has been rehashed already in this thread, that Hickman didn't ok any other variants. The Ghost/Forbidden Planet are from those retailers, and those alone. Agree with cujo here. The only thing to consider are those who will trash a book because they failed to get in on the pre-orders or don't get the big variant like the RRP. How many people agree with this that DO NOT have 100 copies in the closet...? I have a healthy stack too, but I'm with TBP. I just don't see it. And I've already sold enough to cover my costs. If I had more confidence in this book, I would have held onto them longer. In this case, though, I think it's better to hedge my bets, especially in light of the print run. The book is great, but the last time I knew so many people sitting on 100 copies of a #1, Jim Lee was drawing X-Men. And that didn't work out so well. I haven't sold enough yet, but at least half the cost is covered. I'm with TBP and Court. The word is out on a lot of these books and you end up with everyone doing the same thing. Court, I think this may be the first time I disagree with you. Doesn't matter how many copies are out there, Saga alone has proved that. Has EVERYTHING to do with Hickman being in stride and probably the best writer out there right now. Sorry I love Vaughan as much as the next guy, but it's simply the truth. Felix turned me onto M.P, and it pretty much is the best modern out there, till I read this. As I stated, no one can guess how this will or will not do. But I honestly believe we are in for one hell of a ride. And in a year or two, we can look back and state either I was dead wrong, or right. Everyone I know personally, including "broads," are way turned off by the content of Saga. I'm sure there are just as many who don't read Saga because of the content than those that do. EoW doesn't have anything that would turn off readers like Saga does. That could be a huge group of potential readers that Saga will never reach. We will agree to disagree, as ive personally seen three separate times a female come into the LCS and ask where the Saga back issues were located.
