I'm not sure on the specifics, but I don't think you're allowed to challenge yourself. However if you lose the challenge I imagine you would be able to challenge the new title holder after the appropriate waiting period with another sketch.

 

At least that is how I think it would work? I know I've been allowed to challenge on a contest I entered in the first round with a later sketch when I obviously didn't win the first round.

This question has been brought up before and the answer remains the same. The current title holder cannot challenge himself or fight a challenger with a different sketch.
