What do you do with your Moderns?

I would describe myself as a Gold/Silver collector who still enjoys buying monthly floppies and trades. I find myself lately thinking about disposing them because they have no resale value and they clutter the office. I can't even be bothered to board them. Is this sacrilege?

My LCS already has them bagged and boarded, so it remains that way.

 

However, when I acquire a large purchase filled with 90's drek, I pick out the few gems to bag and board and leave the rest as they were, ready to become freebies when I make an ebay sale.

 

(Probably why I can't crack the perfect 5-star rating)

When I don't like one particular new Modern, I sell it on ebay.

I've found I can generally get at or near cover for the Image books I read if I lose interest and decide to sell them on eBay. This makes those books relatively low risk for a read.

Read them, sell them or sometimes throw them away if they're garbage.

I bag and board them. However, I do a purge every once and a while and give some to students I teach.

I don't buy horrible modern comics. Only the good stuff, so I bag board and keep them.

 

If you are purging Walking Dead moderns, send them my way.

Just because they are worthless from a resale point of view doesn't mean they are worthless to me. If I like the comic enough to keep it, I take care of it.

I've cut my pull list down to just a few titles and I'm ready to cut it to nothing and just buy trades and HC's.

They get put in a Mylite+ with a halfback. I only buy comics that have value to me personally so they get almost the same treatment as my Silver Age/Bronze Age books.
