In the next Comicconnect auction. Obviously removed from a bound set, does anyone recall seeing a set of early bound MMC issues before? Is this a file copy? The cover colors look pretty well preserved but the PQ appears to be brittle.

I won an MMC in ComicConnect's Dec auction, only to have them get back to me in January to let me know that they were not able to get the book from the seller. This was a first for me. Has this happened to anyone else?

Not to me. Maybe they should adopt CL's policy of having sellers ship the books to them for their big auctions.

Huh. For some reason, I thought it was CL that sometimes didn't have books in hand.

CL always has them on hand for featured and focuses auctions, but not for their marketplace listings.

When I've sold on CC, I've always had to ship books first to get the listing. Maybe the provided special dispensation to this "seller" and then post-close, got burned?

The explanation I was offered was that the seller had sold the book elsewhere.

I had the reverse thing happen twice on CLINK. Sold a book, got the notification, packed it up, sent it to CLINK, then got an email saying "sorry, buyer backed out". It has happened to me twice on CLINK. Hopefully they banned that buyer.

Mine was definitely an auction win. I've never done an exchange sale.

seems like a potential flaw in their system?...I know clink requires auction books to be on site before auction... I "assumed" CC did the same, but apparently not
