Kudos to Chainnball for the sale.

Are there no fears that this is going to pull a Sixth Gun??

Since it will most likely be on cable, I don't think the competition will be as stiff as it was with Sixth Gun. Thus, less of a chance for the plug to be pulled prior to airing. 2c

Kidding answer - Double cover

Fair asking price - $1,000 - $1,200 ($50 - $60 per set bulk wholesale if retail is $100)

I would probably pay close to that so not a bad estimate IMO

We already have $600 for 10 #1s completed sale. And I didn't get the feeling that those were extreme high grade or anything. Also sold in about 2 days. In other words, those numbers are far too low. Besides, Zeta has already placed an ad (heat test?) for $250 for 1-4 issues (no reprints included).

It would be a Wal-mart Black Friday I'm going to run over yo arse at the front door when they let us in at figures like $1200 for 20 sets 1-4.

The Sixth Gun had a network looking at it.

Isn't TODD just picked up by a production company? Much like Hoax Hunters, Rachel Rising, and whatever else has happened recently? And the company has done work in the past with Disney xD or whatever and Adult Swim.

No idea. I'm just saying, the "gun shy" spec attitude didn't seem to last very long. lol

Ted Mosby effect. So quick to fall in love and so easily burnt.

Everyone hoping they can sit their kids down and tell them about their Walking Dead-like success.

Oh... didn't make the connection (thumbs u

That's my bad. I always assume everyone knows everyone in the spec game.

No problem (thumbs u

$6 hundo for 10 sets may turn out to be a deal. I think at $60 a set it's a fair deal for both... call it $40 for the #1, $10 for the #2, and $5 each for #3 and #4

It was just for 10 copies of #1

If anyone is interested, I have a Todd the Ugliest Kid Poster for issue 1 and 2 signed by Ken at ECC.

they are in Good to Fine condition. They're not in near mint condition.

I don't want to sell them, but I will give them away if you pay the cost to ship them.

PM if interested.

That's what I'm saying. It's starting to get aggressive up in this piece. I feel like everyone was just waiting for something to start the 2012 spec machine up again. lol

And I don't say that to insult anyone. I think spec-ing on mods is fun. But it was a quick downturn on a number of books after Sixth Gun collapsed.

Yeah I'm definitely not selling them for as little as $1,200. I dont expect this to have the same success as Walking Dead, in honesty I'm not sure anything ever will again. However, we have the perfect recipe for huge returns down the line. We've got a book that has a miniscule 7,000 print run. Additionally, it's been several months since the release with a huge dip in the value of the book. That means a lot of speculators dumped their collection and/or as I read on here, literally threw them away. When you factor in the low print run with the failed speculators and then couple that with the 75% of people that read and damaged or even read and discarded the book, I project we have somewhere between 1,000-1,500 pristine copies remaining. The fan base is going to continue to grow and as soon as the release of the show, explode. My money is on saving the bulk of the collection until the show comes out and cross my fingers for it to be successful. I dont think Walking Dead numbers are realistic but we could easily see 25% of that book cover value in the next 12 months pending the release date of the show. Stay tuned for the ride and hold on tight!
