You havent heard me rant about it lol . I have had several rants on it in the last couple years for sure. it's SO good.

are there any midtown variants that gain steam...doesn't seem to be a ton of Lazarus 1 variants. You can still get midtown variants for $10 and they're selling for double right now, just wondering if they'll eventually go up. Forbidden Planet seems to be the most desirable one.

one of the other reasons I enjoyed collecting this so much while most didnt care. I had a bunch of them on ebay watch lists for months. All sold instantly on the news to specs.

The Forbidden Planet is OK, my favorite is the Asylum splash page variant and the regular cover. Not sure if there is a consensus on 'most desirable cover' so it'll be interesting to see where that goes if there is any sustained heat on this.

It's one of my favorite books, easily. I always thought it would be great for television because the world is so well realized, but at the same time, it would be expensive so I wasn't sure how attractive it might be to potential producers.

 

I'm a little surprised honestly, but I definitely think the material has great potential.

I have about 20 9.9 candidates of #1, still sitting in the box since they arrived, and have been both pulling this and 9.8 subscribing to it since the launch(well, had to back fill the subscription on a couple of the early ones)

 

The collector in me is sad I couldnt have got more before the specs descended on it, but ultimately, who cares about that. It's so good that its optioned, my collection is secondary to that. At least Velvet is still dirt cheap :D

 

Collecting high quality moderns that arent spec'd on, is the only way to go.

Don't they all have similar print runs and they're all just shop variants, right?

 

I just like the black, white and red cover of the Forbidden Planet best. Everyone has their preferences.

 

Yah, hence the "try and figure out" part :)

 

I left a lot of sub $100 sig series of the variants go by over the last year because I figured it would be cheaper to do them myself when they time came. Being option is still a long way away from anything actually hitting the airwaves.

 

I'll definitely have to go back into the market at some point to make sure I have every thing I want, but I'll wait a few months until people have moved on.

 

At least I gathered up a lot of the alternate printings last year, so I wont have to hunt those down.
