Info on a Superman comic I found

Picked this up in my LCS as it intigued me, for £5 I thought what the heck. Can't seem to find this cover anywhere online but I'm guessing it's one of the Australian reprints? No info/date/anything inside, and it's in black & white. Anyone have any info on it or seen it before?

Yes! That's the cover to Action Comics #229 which has a cover date of June 1957.

Nope, not Australian but a UK reprint.

 

Here is the Australian reprint. Note the 1/- price and the issue number (122).

 

This is the issue you have, 6d and #90.
