Institute a probationary period before people are allowed to start threads, have sales, etc. Make sure people are not just here to cause trouble by proving they are participating in the forum successfully over a period of time or a number of posts.

 

Likewise, before they can post images or links they should prove over time they are here to participate and not cause trouble. A link in a sales thread the other day went to a tumblr site full of vag pics. Nothing against vag pics but this isn't the place for them.

 

Get more mods so that things are more evenly patrolled and make sure that disciplinary actions are evenly distributed and that the rules are clear and the punishments severe enough to actually discourage bad behavior.

 

Eliminate competition for getting threads closed due to bad behavior. Things escalate quickly and people get silly in hopes of scoring points when a thread is locked. This seems counter to the spirit of the forum as a game has been made out of making things spiral out of control.

Happily, this thread has already degenerated into the standard CG mess and muck. Pegging, donut punching, and jolly rogering, on full display.

The mods have been all over everything lately if anyone has been paying attention.

lol. Word. 6 or 7 years ago there was an MMO I was obsessed with and played at least 12hrs every day. I looked back the other on the forums for that game where I had like 1500 posts and can't believe it was me saying that .

 

Shoulda got a life sooner. Before the divorce would have been a good idea....
