How can we make Comics General a better place for those here and new members?

At least until the coup...

It is a revolving position for sure.

This thread was allowed to happen under your reign. This never would've happened under RMA. Just sayin'.

:fear:

All are welcome.

I even had a conversation with mikenyc and neither of us told the other to fornicate with a barn animal.

[font:Book Antiqua]I have to say:

I am not against boardies playing the game.

But its annoying when they begin to troll newcomers

or fair questions just because they don’t have anything else to do...

BUT...

When you repeat the same jokes year after year,

please leave the game

or renew your material...[/font]

Why are certain members ashamed to admit that they just happen to exponentially increase their posting frequency when a thread has lock potential. Everyone knows exactly who they are, they should embrace it.

From a right/wrong standpoint I have yet to commit to a viewpoint.

When has that ever been the question and when has anyone ever denied that? I don't know how much clearer that I could possibly make it that my posting in doomed threads was for the possibility of points 98% of the time.

That is something that is common knowledge to anyone even remotely paying attention.

I seriously question that 2%.

There has to be room for error that I may not be aware that the thread is doomed quite yet.

At least 2 percent of Park's posts involve:

1) discussing the ltpc

2) demanding his free lunch from cal

I'd say that possibly 5% of Park's posts are not in an attempt to get points.

:luhv:

Cal totally ignores me now. i don't think I am ever getting that free lunch now that he is a big shot director.

And 5% is probably about right. lol

Cal ignoring you is NOT good for comics general. It's a potential loss of precious points.

And 5%? That means that you can do more!

What would make comics general better:

1) more cal started threads

2) more posts from new members who like to big league everyone

3) less of a sense of humor

4) nerd rage!!!

Long live the madness that is CG!!!!

1. More moderator participation to keep things in check -- surprised how little moderator participation there is compared to other sites with much less traffic.

2. Limit or regulate the use of the quote function which sometimes can take up half pages or more of threads, making it a pain to navigate through a thread or, at the very least, interrupts the flow of productive discussion.

3. Signatures in some cases are a bit too much and take up too much of a page. See item 2 above.

As a new member here all I can wish for is what this guy said here. I only get online with my phone so sometimes my internet is slow, now so it would be nice if someone quoted something it would bump that part up instead of showing the same thing over and over again. Really gets annoying but since I set my setting to show 99 post it hasn't been as irritating. And I also disabled the signatures and that helped a lot(but I do miss that hot hoola hoop chick)
