So I saw Man of Steel tonight...

Well, at the end of Avengers there were survivors and you could see people running away even at the end. I don't want to give much away about Man of Steel, though. I'll say that at the end, the state of the Metropolis is in MUCH worse shape than New York was at the end of Avengers.

WHOA!

That does sound massive. But not saying it turns me off to a movie. If anything, when you have two super-strength characters going at it, I can see how maybe even the villain tossing the hero around without a care would lead to this.

But thanks for not spoiling the movie plot to explain the level of destruction.

:foryou:

No problem. Hope you like it.

The one thing the producers didn't address adequately if at all was the level of carnage in that film and its effects.

Did they do that in The Avengers?

No. And it's up the audience to work that conundrum out.

Some of us don't need to have every little thing explained.

I thought it was great. See it for yourself and draw your own conclusions. (shrug)

:applause:

Fandango has 21,611 fans that on average have given this a MUST GO rating. That's what I will listen to more are movie-goers over the average critic.

.

hm

I think they did better with this movie than many of the Marvel movies, including Avengers. The only close contender is The Dark Knight, it was that good. I would have to say 9 out of 10, easily.

I saw the 7 o clock showing as well. I'm glad you liked it. I just thought Avengers was like at least 10 times better than this.

The whole film just felt like, eh.

I disagree. This movie was really good, if all you wanted was action with no real substance than Avengers is the way to go. The very first time I saw Avengers I though it was amazing... then I saw it a second time and was completely underwhelmed. I am a person who likes enough substance to watch a movie multiple times (which Batman Begins has as well as Iron Man) Avengers has very little substance, whereas I am already anticipating what else I will "see" when viewing Man of Steel again. Our opinions differ and that is fine by me... just thought I would share how I view films
