Saw this title at my LCS and picked up a copy of issue 1. I haven't read it yet but was wondering if anyone else has picked it up or read it.

I passed over it, but did do a double take. Let me know how it is. It looked like there were plenty to go around at my shop.

I liked the concept more than the actual book.

That said, it has a fabulous foundation to build on.

I looked and almost bought but the copies at my LCS were damaged.

not damaged at mine...I read the preview, it was good but not great....

 

Then I though another vampire story...it's gotta be great or it's not going to do well...

 

Then I though, it's boom....other then the kids stuff, what has had secondary market success from boom?...

Give it time and Hollywood will start looking to places other than Image for movie ideas. Regarless, Boom! has always put out quality books on quality materials. It's just that Image gets all the spotlight which overshadows other great books by great publishers on a weekly basis. 10 years ago, Image was still kind of a red-headed stepchild living in the shadows of it's inception days.

Liev Shreiber doing a Boston accent is pretty funny. I lived in Brighton/Cambridge for a bit and some people were like cartoon characters to me, auditorily. Then again, I shouldn't talk because I live in Jersey.

Read it a second time and liked it better. Well see where it goes. Not the best art, but I can live with it.
