Kenny must have made some kind of deal with the Devil to get these skills.

Correct, you literally blend up paper in a blender...creating a paper pulp milkshake. That pulp is then used to fill in missing areas of the item being casted.

 

You can either spot leaf cast specific areas, or fully submerge the cover and cast the entire thing. Depending on what is required.

SO is this the basics of the process for the repair. I'm sure there's far more to it but along these lines?

It's basically the same process, except for how he lines the entire page with japan paper for added strength. This would work great on fragile, brittle comics...but it would also look terrible!!

A 3 ring binder hole punched Hulk 1 interior with infilled holes through leaf casting.

 

Doing this through hand applied donor paper would have resulted in this interior getting really puffy once re assembled. But leaf casting allows for such a thin amount of paper to be added it is almost seamless in hand.
