If you are going to sell books to other boardies...

can you post his username or at least PM it to me, thanks.
I can probably guess. And he'll blame the damage on the P.O.

I once bought a pedigree slab from the Boards. The seller used the "box within a box" method of packing. Except the inner box just had the slab with no packaging material, so the slab was free to rattle around in the inner box.
I've gotten a few of those too.

Hoo boy...

Are you striving to pack books that were once packed wrong?

I don't understand your question. My comment was directed that the packing of the books was subpar.

there are sellers on these boards who should be outed for bad packaging. bought a raw from a boardie that was almost $300 shipped inside an envelope inside another envelope. for almost $300 ship it in a box. until we are okay with outing people, ill keep it to myself.
I got a $1200 worth of books shipped in one of those undersized medium flat-rate boxes. Every comic came in dunned. Luckily there was a no questions asked refund, so can really complain much - other than I would have rather had the books than the refund.

Shouldn't contact have been made with the seller before sounding the call for everyone to get their torches?

What call? I only posted to make people more aware and careful. Attention does need to brought to something like this.

It doesn't take much time to carefully package a few books versus throwing them in a box loose with little packing material.

I have not outed the seller publicly nor will I at this point, if he want's to come forward he can. It wasn't a noob but someone who should know better.

I think you've done the right thing. The seller would probably just ship that way again without getting the semi-public admonishment.

You absolutely did the right thing. The only thing you've done wrong so far is not name names. Why would you need to contact the seller first, how is that going to change the horrible packing job? Ignore that advice.

You seem to know a lot about how to do things on here with only a few posts. WTTB's.

On the other hand, I once sold 60 books for $25 shipped and the boardie complained that- 1) not every book was bagged and boarded, 2) two of the books had the Marvel Value Stamps clipped, and 3) one of the Marvel Tales I sent reprinted a Spiderman book in the same lot. He felt a $15 refund was in order. I disagreed. He threatened to go public. I said go ahead but be sure to show all 60 plus books, not just the four he had an issue with. Never saw the thread.
