I need logo help!

Hey guys,

I have a logo button that acts as a link to my website on the myslabbedcomics.com homepage. I wasn't happy with it, so I cropped this scan of Tec 27 and came up with this...

 

 

 

The actual button is obviously much smaller, 120 x 60 pixels. I think it looks pretty cool, but while it does provide a link to my site, it doesn't actually say detective27.com. Does that matter? Should I try something else, or it this eye-catching enough?

 

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I would red out the comics word and replace it with the 27.com.

Jason (dr balls) does great work. I really like his sense of style and artistic vision. He has done some really nice work and I work with Ad agencies all the time.

Are there no copyright concerns with using these types of logos? I also have a professional interest in this subject.
