DC's Villain Month 3D Covers

I was at a small local show today.

Everyone else in the room was anywhere from $15-25.

Same trend in Vancouver, BC at small 1 day comicon. Saw 3D Grodd priced at $20, Poison Ivy $15, Joker & Creeper at aggressive :o $20-$25, Ventriloquist $20, Deadshot & JLA Dark $30-$35. Think I saw a JLA Dark b/w 1:100 variant non-3D cover sell at $100.

asked about 5 shops at Baltimore Comic Con if they had the 2D Batman covers and got laughed at. Both shops around my area sold out of the Batman 2D covers on release day, finally found one at Third Eye comics.
diamond had plenty of "2d" reg stock available

I just sold my Forever Evil 3D and Sketch cover for $350 on the bay. Feel pretty good about it since I paid $75 a piece. I've been caught holding too long lately on moderns. Decided to flip em early.

Got 2 on hand, seen quite a few of these go for $300-$350. Thinking its definitely time to flip rather than slab.

I have 11 of the covers so far.

The only multiples I bought were Joker (5) and Two Face (2) because I thought they were cool.

I also have a pre order (might be on the whole set I don't remember) with DCBS but I do not know if they will come through.

Reporting from the Baltimore Con on Saturday....

You could tell dealers just had no idea from table to table what to charge for these. Generally, they were at least $6-8 each. Some dealers differentiated between them, charging more for the Poison Ivy and Ventriloquist, between $10-15. If you were patient, you could probably find the issue(s) you wanted at $6-8.

Relic appeared to be the least common on the floor, only seeing it with a handful of dealers. Cyborg Superman seemed the most plentiful, or maybe the least in-demand? Scarcity per issue definitely seemed to be a store-by-store thing, some scarce on one issue yet plentiful on another, and then vice versa for the dealer next to them.

The 3-D Forever Evil 1 was priced at an average of $200 or so. I was able to pick one up for $125, and submitted it to CGC along with Poison Ivy, Ventriloquist, Joker and Bizarro. :wishluck:

I hope you didn't buy the one from the mid-west dealer that had it priced at $125 at his booth (wire rack, top shelf, behind plexi pieces). I looked at it early Sat and noticed it had a big dent in the back of the book.'

:wishluck:

There you go, 'killing the market' again :baiting:
