seanfingh
Was going through boxes last night and I came upon a longbox that was almost all my OO books from 1986-7. It was interesting to see what I was reading at the time and what survived in good condition vs. what didn't. My technique at the time was to put four moderns in a silver age bag. Amazingly, these all survived in 9.4-9.8. Many many others were not so lucky. The Marvel project sketch cover has amped up my nostalgia for these books. I especially like the Cloak and Dagger. Prince Namor
He had $100 each on them, but the Primer has a banged up upper right corner and some ripple along the right cover opening. I figure it's pressable if I ever decide to actually take that route on a book. The Grendel #1 structurally looks great. He said he'd take $150 for the two of them, and I was happy with that. That's all that counts. I love Grendel. I wish I was even more aggressive than I was... The very first theft I ever encountered on eBay was a tool offering "NM" copies of Primer #2, Grendel #1-3 for $180, all signed by Wagner. This was early 1999, and would have been my first copies of all these books. Sent a MO, never got the books or the comics.

Just didn't have the best of luck in Baltimore with grades... got Laura Allred's sig too... this one goes to Geoff Darrow next.... Sigh.... Mr. Furious was not happy about that one! It's not something everyone wants, but for those of us who do, finding it in HG is pretty tough. I think they PRINTED that book with dings. Don't know how much you collect his work, but the Baltimore Comic Con THB: Comics form Mars #2, is for sale at Adhouse books... Toz
A couple of months ago a seller was selling a whole bunch of Eclipse books and I won about 20 of them. They were taking requests for other Eclipse books and would list them on a BIN for an agreed upon price.Out of curisoity I asked if they had any of the 2D books. This is what they had for about $9 each: I got them all. Interior pics of each. The only one signed is the 3D Alien Terror.Go figure. It's also the lowest grade with a smudge to the top right corner and one corner of the spine is bent.Still, very happy to have them. seanfingh
This will hold me over until I get Frank Miller: Probably Modern, but no one cares there. I maintain that Sandman retained its Copper-ness until '95. That's my story and I am sticking to it: Edited October 19, 2010 by seanfingh
