Well, it looks like the rumored Marvel movie to come out at the same time as Batman vs Superman may end up being Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

'Guardians Of The Galaxy 2' To Face 'Batman Vs. Superman' In 2016

To me, that says GotG 1 may be a pending hit if they are already talking about a follow-up. As a minimum, I'd love to see two solid comic-based movies in 2016. I don't care what company owns the rights.

:wishluck:

Marvel/Disney is playing Chicken with WB/DC.

that's the rumor but my only problem i have is i think Marvel has not thought what comes next after Ant-Man.

Man of Steel: Fight or Flight?

However, one thing that most seem to be missing is that the domain names was actually registered way back on March 28, 2013. It’s possible that at one time Warner Bros. was considering Man of Steel: Fight or Flight as the title for the Man of Steel sequel.

Next title please.

It's part of the marketing game. Follow the trend. "Batman Triumphant" was already announced before "Batman & Robin" was even released. Ironically, we wouldn't see a Batman movie for eight years later. Thank God. :P

lol

It would appear so. But it is a very big market out there. And even bigger since these 2012 numbers.

2012 Theatrical Statistics Summary

And no surprise on your heavy-hitter markets.

You get movies like "The Amazing Spider-Man", "The Avengers" or "Iron Man 3" where the masks can cover up the face for better dubbing you have a recipe for success.

Like every Hollywood trend of popular movies, the waters become stagnant after a while (slasher movies, teen movies, gross-out movies, etc). In theory, these movies will eventually start losing more steam at the box-office as they compete against each other. Maybe they are planning for it. In the end, it's gonna be about quality, not a big budget or expectations, for them to stand out from one another before they are put into back into Hollywood's long boxes.

I must admit in 2004, I never thought Hollywood would ever take these kinds of movies and properties seriously. I thought we were only gonna get solo Batman, Hulk, Spider-Man movies to the end of time. I gotta say in 2014 (at 38), I wish I was eight again. You can walk into any Walgreens and buy Walking Dead action figures, every Walmart has masks and toys, every channel has at least one funnybook movie or show running, and the video games!

Even Walmart offering those Marvel single color figures as multi kits (I think it is 5-8 figures per bag).

I noticed these during Christmas. They had all of the original X-Men, Avengers, Apocalypse, Silver Surfer, Punisher, Doc Oc, etc. I would have loved to have those as a kid.

They made a big deal of that football game scene, and now they are going to dump it. But if it doesn't make sense with the direction of the movie, I would rather they make a decision like this than force it in and it adds no value.

-Man of Steel: Black of Knight

-Man of Steel: Darkness Falls

-Man of Steel: Knight Falls

-Man of Steel: Shadow of the Night

i got a better Man of Steel: World's Finest
I like it.

But only us comic book nerds will get the connection, where as general audiences will be like "What the :censored: is World's Finest?" :P

When the news first came out of a Batman-Superman movie, someone said that on here and it clicked for me immediately this made the most sense versus going all JLA quickly. I really wish they would take this stance, and call it that.

MAN OF STEEL: WORLD'S FINEST

It would be so cool.

I agree.

It would make an awesome title for the movie.

I like Shadow of the Night.

But I think they should consider these titles:

Legend of the Knight

Shadow of the Bat

I don't like any of them. But, I still like this one. :foryou:

I like the World's Finest inclusion, but I already felt the man of steel aspects of Cavill's character has been covered already. We get it, he's more than just a man of steel physically. It's like every Bond movie being called James Bond 007: Casino Royale, James Bond 007: Quantum of Solice, James Bond 007: Skyfall. etc.

I'm almost for just a Superman/Batman symbol. I thought the first Batman movie in '89 sucessfully advertised itself with that iconic Bat symbol. Whether you saw tombstones or rounded teeth, it was unforgettable.
