So freaking awesome!!! They did an incredible job with "Rise". This trailer looks great.

 

I wasn't a fan of the series until I watched Rise...then I had to watch all of the older ones. Great stuff!

There may be to many ape movies that suck but this seems better than the last one

I watched the original a few months back on tv and surprisingly liked it

One of the most enduring movie franchises. Admittedly, there have been some losers in the run but still one of my favorite series. I had a POTA lunchbox back in the 70s (from the TV series).

 

I think if they do a POTA Zombie movie though, that would cross the line but I'd still watch it.

So, why can't the franchise support a comic book title? The IDW title had sales so miserable, many of the issues didn't even make the top 300 comics of the month.

Saw the original Planet of the Apes at the Drive-In in '68 (6 years old)

from the back of my Dad's Ford station wagon. The end of the movie

with the Statue of Liberty sticking out of the beach!! Wow!! A vivid

memory from childhood that has stuck with me!!!!

It's what got me interested in sci-fi, comics, etc.!! A Classic!!!

As a heads up, this is nothing like the original.

 

It's a reboot of the franchise and Rise is like the 'origin' story.

 

It is awesome though. Thoroughly impressed.
