HulkSmash sent me a PM because he thought I was bashing Stu. Then once it sunk in that I wasn't bashing Stu, he asked if Stu and I were a couple, and told me that I had a serious lack of courage.

 

There was also Ice cream involved.

lol Was there really ice cream involved?

This discussion usually gets locked over in the Modern thread. Hulk44 got very heated with some people over there for the hard time they gave him for this purchase. There have been threads and threads about it.

All I remember about Hulk Smash was a really hot hulahooper in his sig. I don't recall any other offensive sigs.

 

The hula hooper was me!

 

He had the ones of people in a boating accident. Then there was one of a car flipping over. A bunch of stuff of people just seemingly getting hurt or in serious life or death situations. It wasn't anything horrible, but making a joke out of a serious car accident or what not just seems distasteful. Oh there was also the one of the little kid walking up and punching a sibling in the head really hard.

(shrug) I thought some of those videos were funny.

If I were into moderns, I'm sure I would hang out there. On the other hand, the drama factor is pretty high there. Maybe I'm missing out. hm

Yea some of the speculators make me laugh. After the Sixth Gun show got canned, it was like the end of the world.

The only thing I'm seeing on the census currently that's graded a 10 is a Signature Series copy.

Paid the max price for a 9.9 and then the 10 gets wafted under his nose, and he paid max price for that one. If they ever make a movie about comic speculation, that scene will be in it. I would have Joseph Gordon-Leavitt play Cort, and he would have a handlebar mustache just so he could twist it when the paypal cleared.

I dabble in modern books and I'm always popping in there, but sadly - I have missed a lot of the drama that I hear about. I'd love to see one of those classic threads in person.

 

The last modern book meltdown that I witnessed was someone freaking out over price manipulations on Revival slabs in someone's sales thread. It was a major-league spectacle.

Honestly, why pay that much for a book like that? If you've got that much cash burning a hole in your pocket, put it into bronze, silver or gold keys that have an established track record. :facepalm:
