Yeah, you're right. Lot of MC on that one.

That CGC 6.5 with no MC at all would be a 75 000$ to 80 000$ book.

Comiclink just sold a copy with no chipping for $67K

Had some spine issues I believe.

Are you making excuses for the sale price?

If it didn't have issues it wouldn't be a 6.5. It's a mid grade book, not a high grade book.

It was a decent looking 6.5

$67000 is not a horrible price for a 6.5.

Unlike Gator I'm not retired.

Ok so whoever bought that 5.0 and 5.5 feel free to consign it on my website.  I saw the last AF #15 buyer zipped that copy over to Ebay in a flash.

don't know, but I do know there were 2 cgc 6.5 hulk 1's auctioned at same time, same venue, and the one with white? (better) pages went for a significant price over the one with lessor page quality (paging jaydog :baiting:)

The copy that went for less also had some gnarly MC and significantly worse "eye appeal".  :shy:

Of course ...but those same issues probably apply to every sale you’ve ever quoted in your defense. So I choose to ignore them too :foryou:

ok I’m done funnin’

And yes, this is the old Voldemart copy that crossed over.

But how could that be as both copies have been slabbed as 9.0 graded books?  ???

I thought all of the CGC fan boys here claim that Voldy almost always overgrades their books by a couple of notches relative to what CGC would grade a book at.

Looks like the HA 7.0 will hit 100K after all ... and then some.

Guess not. 95K

Definitely no record setting prices on any of these AF 15's in this auction here.

I guess it certainly doesn't help when you have a whole slew of them in various condition grades one after the other in the exact same auction.  Definitely not the best selling situation for the consignors of these copies here.   doh!  :censored:

Yes, fair assumption. But a 6.5 with no mc , no pre-mc and a very solid look to it.

My question is how much more for a white pages copy in any grade?

Best person to answer this question here for you would be jaydog.  :gossip:

Why don't you send him a PM since he is the acknowledged expert on the boards here when it comes to relative values for equivalent books with varying levels of PQ.  lol

You sure Doug paid $250k for it? Might have been negotiated for lower.

I'm sure he negotiated lower, but not 100K lower. When you factor in HA's commission, ouch.

Well, somebody got taken to the wood shed and had the living daylights spanked out of him if $250K was anywhere close to the final price on this book here.  :insane:

And I cannot think of a more deserving person to receive this loving massage, except probably for Danny boy himself.  lol
