Here is the seller's two responses to my request:

Hi Tim,

Yes, I can ship it to Canada.

There is just some color touch on the cover, one small tear seal at the top of the front cover, and the comic has been trimmed.

If you want to see more photos of the book please let me know your email address or contact me directly at naharrison11 followed by the usual AT then gmail and then DOT com

Thanks,

Nash

Dear timern4pxi,

Hi Tim,

My 1st Appearance X-Men / Magneto Comic Book is not on ebay anymore, but it's still available for sale.

My usual schedule has been changed and I had to go to Spain to take care of some business and that's why I've ended my auction.

The final price for the book is US $ 3,000.00 including all the shipping costs and insurance.

Also I want to let you know that you will have the opportunity to receive and inspect the book before you actually pay for it. If you are interested and want to know more details regarding the purchase just contact me.

Thanks,

Nash

P.S: If you want to see more photos of the book please let me know your email address or contact me directly at naharrison11 followed by the usual AT then gmail and then DOT com

All,

Thanks for the feedback - I wasn't aware that this item was pulled from eBay when I posted it. I thought it was on there and I was in the middle of buying it. I was looking for an estimate of how much I should pay for it - if I would have won, I would have submitted for CGC to grade. I didn't want to put that I was bidding it on eBay, so as to avoid gathering unnecessary eyeballs and driving the price up on it.

Anyways, Quick update - the "seller" wanted to use SKRILL to perform the transaction: ""Please check the attachment for more photos.

If you are interested I want to make the transaction through Skrill. This way you will have the opportunity to inspect the book before you actually pay for it. I'm saying this because you will have a maximum 14 days inspection period. You will send the money to Skrill and they will keep the money for us. Payment is held by Skrill until you receive and approve the book, I won't have access to the money until you will give them your approval. As soon as Skrill has the money I will ship the book to you.

Skrill releases funds to the Seller once the inspection period has passed without the Buyer requesting cancellation of the transaction and upon Skrill verification of the transaction information. The inspection period is agreed to by both the Buyer and the Seller and commences once the Buyer has received the item. Funds are released to the Seller the same or next business day after completion of the transaction and upon verification by Internet Skrill Services.

As soon as I will have your full name and also your full shipping address I will open an escrow case with Skrill and they will give you step by step details on how to proceed with the deal and to make the payment.

Thanks,

Nash ""

Just to see how he would react, I asked about using PayPal to pay for the transaction, and he insisted that SKRILL was the way that he could accept payment. Here's his response:

""Unfortunately I don't have a PayPal account and I also don't have a bank account here in Spain to make one. Anyway Skrill is a legit international escrow company accepted as payment option by eBay, so I see no reason for not using them. I used them before and I was satisfied. Also I (as the Seller) will open the escrow case, so you don't have to be registered with them to complete this deal.

Thanks,

Nash""

Obviously I am staying as far away from this seller as possible and appreciate everyone's feedback and input towards the situation.

Thx
