A Few things to consider. There will never be more than 2000 sets of this series available. If you break it down further, there will never be 1000 sets available for people who need both the A and B covers because there weren't 1000 of covers for #3.

 

The completist has even more trouble. The NYCC #1, NYCC #4's, and the Comicsheatingup #6 make building expensive. The great news is the TPB is only $9.99. I would expect sales on that book to far exceed what has been available so far. I'm buying 1 for myself and a few for friends. They are in for a ( cheap ) treat. :D

Would love to see Midtown sell out of #5 and #6; get some new readers into this series. I agree with some of the comments already posted, vast quantities of the early books are probably held by speculators.

 

Hopefully the trade will bring in more readers and the second arc can get to 7K or above numbers. Anyone care to "speculate" orders for the 2nd arc now that media news is out? Is 7K achievable this early with an independent?

 

I believe 7000 should be very doable. I'll be more surprised if it doesn't get there than if it does. 2c

That hit $160, but I think it happened right after the news broke? Maybe the seller was unaware? Still... that is a recent price point, I would be surprised if this one hits over $200 raw.

I kicked myself over that book. I would never take half off for a best offer so it never occurred to me someone else would. I think that seller could have gotten more than his asking price this week but timing is EVERYTHING. I also doubt that you're in the minority on collecting this series. THere just aren't going to be enough on the NYCC #1 to make it a priority for most collectors. It would be way too expensive were that the case. There is no wrong way to collect this series other than to skip it. lol

Cover A is always Mehdi's cover. In #1's case, that's the one with Ellen on the cover.
