Recently picked this copy up in Comicalgems mystery box listing. I'm not familiar with how CGC takes fading into consideration so looking for a little guidance. What do you think?

The fading is a bit of a crapshoot. I think the stain below the CCA label caps ya at 6,0/6.5. Despite the fading, your book is perfectly centered. If you paid $100 for the box, this book alone would probably fetch slightly more than that. Ive seen raw mid grades go for $110-$125 on ebay.

I'm not sure how CGC handles fading to this degree either? I would think it would be treated similar to staining but that is purely speculation. However if I had to guess I would say the book is a 8.5 less the fading so somewhere around 6.5 I'm guessing?

Actually I don't think that is a stain under the comic code. From the size of it and shape I'm almost positive that is where the price sticker was that saved the original color from fading!

Just about every price sticker I've ever seen removed leaves behind some type of residue. I'm sticking to my guns in calling it a stain. Maybe you could eek out a 7.0, but 6.0-6.5 far more likely IMO.

I don't think it was ever stuck to the book. I think there was a sticker on the bag there and it faded in sunlight everywhere but there.
