Looking at this good list. I question that 2018 – Harbinger (Valiant) now will make its release date. Really for a movie that is suppose to be out next year we will find the buzz has been awfully quiet. Either they are doing a good job of keeping it under wraps from the public or they are have problems with making it?
Bosco685
Coming from a Reddit posting. So take this lightly for now until confirmed. No news yet on Black Adam, Shazam, The Batman or Justice League 2. DCEU Rumors Include Man of Steel 2, Justice League, Gotham City Sirens & More Man of Steel 2 - Story written by Geoff Johns and Zack Snyder - Brainiac will be the villain - Release date of November 1, 2019 Justice League - Justice League trailer to be attached to the April 14th release of The Fate of the Furious - Will play in front of WB's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword on May 12th Wonder Woman - Budget is $125 million (this seems within reason, as original budget was noted as $100MM, and then bounced around between $110-145MM) - Sequel being developed already Aquaman - Dr. Stephen Shin (scientist knowledgeable about Atlantis) will appear - Search of an actor currently active Justice League Dark - Still said to be directed by Doug Liman - Movie is not a high priority right now Gotham City Sirens - Fast-tracked ahead of the Suicide Squad sequel - Target a February 2019 release The Flash - -script going through re-writes - Pushed back to 2020
Bosco685
A two-month delay on Aquaman has opened the door for another DCEU movie to fill the void. Justice League Dark - PLEASE!! It's further along in development, and would take advantage of something Fox Studios and Suicide Squad have proven: audiences want something different now versus the same old superhero framework. kagenish
right WB/DC have 3 films that can shoot this year and come out next year Gotham Sirens, Suicide Squad 2 and Justice League Dark( Dark Universe). JLD has the most chance since it's been in development for some time with at least a finish -script and a Director. Gotham Sirens we know it has a Director and outline for the film with the -script being written right now. Suicide Squad 2 only has a writer penning down the -script without a Director. GS & SS2 both can easily film this year if they are kept grounded and not be CG heavy, JLD would be the only one with a Challenge since we know it'll be a little bit more heavy on CG then the other two films. Bosco685
Looks like for now Cyborg is still slotted for 2020. Ray Fisher Says CYBORG Movie Still On Track For 2020 Release Quote Despite rumors that Cyborg would be appearing in The Flash and that WB was rethinking his standalone film, actor Ray Fisher told the audience at his City of Heroes special guest panel that his standalone DCEU film was still slated to hit theaters in 2020. The update comes by way of DC Comics fan and YouTube channel, DC World. This update also comes after many weeks of DC Comics fans arguing the merits of why the Cyborg movie should become a Teen Titans feature film. It was until the comic publisher's New 52 reboot of its product line that Cyborg became a founding member of the Justice League. Prior to that retcon (by DC Chief Creative Officer and DCEU co-Chief Geoff Johns), Cyborg was a key member of Marv Wolfman's 1980s Teen Titans revival. Bosco685
The DCEU Movies That Might Be Released After Aquaman Quote The first film on the agenda after Justice League is James Wan's Aquaman, which will debut in December 2018, and after that, it looks like the next films on DC's schedule might be Justice League Dark and Batgirl. It's worth remembering that the DC slate has shuffled several different times over the course of the last year, but things do seem to be leveling out. Now that the DCEU has started to find some traction, Aquaman will take the plate as the next solo movie after Justice League, with Justice League Dark and Batgirl currently standing as the next two DC films to begin production, although neither film has a set release date. DC appears to see the value in branching off and trying new things, and both of these films are indicative of a growing trend of bold moves in this universe. Warner Bros. has been trying to get a Justice League Dark movie off of the ground for quite some time, and now it looks like we're closer than ever towards seeing it become a reality. Even with the recent departure of Doug Liman from the film, DC's supernatural team of gothic heroes are seemingly further along in the development process than most other projects on the DC slate. Bosco685
Not a bad year so far for comic book movies. Though with the Guardians movie, the critics and audience went from 91%/92% in 2014 to 81%/90% in 2017. Though the new movie is definitely bringing in higher financial results.
