Here's a way to turn a $2.99 donation into a $29.99 one.

Here's the deal; bid the minimum $2.99 on this lot of Avenger's drek my son has listed on ebay and I will donate 10 times the amount to the paypal account set up for TJ's family, up to a maximum of $100.

The other catch is the boardie has to win the auction - so it'll perhaps motivate others to bid the number up.

If the bidding reaches the maximum matching-dollar amount - $10 - I'll donate $100. If it goes higher than $10, I'll add the difference to the total. So if it sells for $20, I donate $110.

I'm doing this to raise the spirits of a son who's having a bad time finding work. I think it'd be a boost to his morale to have someone bid on his books.

Like I said in an earlier thread, I didn't know TJ, but from what I've heard of him he was close to the age my son is and maybe was struggling with some of the things he is, I don't know.

But I want to do this to help both his family and my son.

If it does't fly, what the heck I tried.

Wonderful :acclaim: And you might be surprised by what is in the box when you get it

And please no telling the seller - if you win, just pay for the item and it'll be between us. :gossip:

:ohnoez:

lol I was thinking the same thing. Or "Dad, can I list some of your books on ebay right away? I got some live ones here!"

I guess I underestimated the exuberance of this board - I'm probably going to have to come clean about it - but the effect was achieved - it raised his spirits a LOT. Thanks to you folks.

As soon as the auction ends, I will send Sha the donation :applause:
