Open Letter to CGC

226 posts in this topic

I'm not sure what you are talking about.

I was speaking to new CFO and Harshen at San Diego.

Gave them plenty of feedback.

That rollback of modern to 1975 was something I told them to do based on dollar/cents costs of bronze age submissions. Not that I need to toot my own horn but that change did not come only because of CBCS.

I discussed a lot of business issues with them. I encouraged CGC to meet with other submitters who use their services because frankly I do not have the same business needs as everybody who uses them. And frankly both CBCS and CGC have not adopted this when it comes to getting feedback/input from the people who sell their product.

So this is not meant to be a eulogy by any means. As Chris S said, CBCS has barely been around and CGC is still the top dig, and likely will be at least for the immediate future. I will however say that they now have a true competitor where others like The Vault and PGX have failed.

Hector to your point, I posted it here more so that people who may be unaware can get some info. I'm not looking to make any point by posting on here, I just wanted to get this out so people can see it and so that if some dialogue opens up, everyone can see it instead of me reporting back claiming they said this or that.Maybe some part of me thinks that more people have had similar questions but didn't ask.

Undoubtedly there are those who agree and those who think I'm an , and that's fine. As I mentioned my reasoning for the open letter was so others can know. Furthermore, I'm not certain how a lack of response would prove my point about CGC not caring about their customers

If anything, I would say CGC deleting this thread and or banning me would kind of make some sort of point how they don't take critiques well.

I didn't mean to come across as bashing CGC because that wasn't the aim so I sincerely hope nobody got that perception. I wanted to remain respectful but still point out a couple of their recent shortcomings.

I have been a CGC customer and likely still will be but I'm not going to be exclusive like I have been to this point. I always appreciated what CGC did and continues to so and even went so far as to write an open letter commending them on their actions regarding adding notes at my suggestion. Ultimately, I'm not fond that several other reasonable suggestions have been ignored. As I stated, I personally think responding to competition rather than customer demand is not an effective way to conduct business when your in the business of customer service. Lets be honest, while they do provide a service there is still a large aspect of customer service involved. Up until about 3 months ago, their CS was good more often than not, excellent on some occasions and atrocious at others. That will longer be acceptable as viable options exist. That is what it all boils down to, they are starting to provide better Customer Service because their hand is forced, to me that's disingenuous and I'd like to see them start improving because they genuinely want to be a better company, not because they have to. It seems that they became stagnant as can happen when your the only kid on the block.

In response to the timing, what can I say? I generally have more time on the weekends as I work weekdays. I was sitting at the coffee shop thinking about comics as I often to do and decided to write it. If you think It was an elaborate plot and I had this planned out to the day to post it, then you have too much free time on your hands.

Oh, I almost forgot;

He is also in FIRST PLACE in the CGC Forums pool too. He got the Tampa game wrong, but we are confident that when the dust settle again this Monday, he will be either the top dog or very darn close to it.

CAL not too good at child's play...

Wow, I didn't think it was possible, but I think you're actually speaking in the 4th person. Anyone who has seen the statrage.com YouTube videos knows that statrage's only employee is you, Jack Remington. How are those $25 apiece NFL picks doing for ya?

Uh, under the LLC that was originated this year, we have 11 employees. All except me are part-timers, and we have a system that pays them and withholds the proper taxes, etc.The only one Registered as of current record is me. But that will change when the records are updated at end of Fiscal reporting, Stu.

Those picks are turning out well for me, thank you! I can spend coin( own intended) on comics, coins, Casino tickets, or whatever I want. Money is a great tool to be used to further your endeavors, whatever they may be.

Ta-ta!

CAL gotta get back!

If gambling was predictable it wouldn't be gambling. Lotta broke folks with 'systems'...

When you do what I do, you don't need any "system" or template betting. These guys, they may only take home teams, or all underdogs. They lose their shirt as they can't adjust, they can't take the financial swings. They are the "rail-birds" of casinos, always looking for someone to "stake" them, or in my words, "give" them a buy-in.

CAL been there with these losers, done that, done with them...
