So apparently it's like a continuation of the Phx CC. Artists, guest, exhibitors, etc. Kind of curious, I may attend to see what it's all about. Any one else considering going or have been to similar events? What can I expect?

I'm going, but not sure about getting any comics graded until I know which artists are going to be there at that time.

I'll be there!!! Was thinking about getting a table but I'm going to pass. Once I get an idea of what the layout looks like, then I might do it next year.

 

Living in Goodyear, this is going to be awesome (I hope). Can't wait to see a list of guests

There should be an ATM though. I always bring cash because dealers eyes light up when you pull out a wad...of cash.

I won't be setting up, things are just too busy right now. On the CC issue, in my experience, it is more trouble than it is worth. When you get all those cell phones in one place the signal frequently fails and the charges don't go through. It also sucks when someone chisels you down to your rock bottom price on a key book and then pulls out the credit card which will take another 3-4% out of your profits.

I agree with Mike. Cash is king! Whenever I decide to set up, I will have a big 'ole sign saying "Cash Only - Thank you".

 

Man I can't wait for this show!

It's probably a No for me unless they book a 'can't-miss' creator. I'm still undecided on the Mesa CC in 2 weeks and Marv Wolfman is going to be there.

Besides Wolfman, the line-up for the Mesa show is less than impressive. Kevin Sorbo was the number 2 and he canceled after he proved to the world that he is a complete insufficiently_thoughtful_person. Ruffio will be there though.

I just sent in payment for two booths (usually take three for the local shows but not sure about how well attended it will be on short notice). Matt does have a large mailing list of attendees and there will probably be more attendees than expected but I am not sure they will be buying comics.

 

On the plus side, I will have two booths crammed with nice books from $1 to $12,000 so if you want books, come on out.
