Not only due to the Superman-Supergirl pare-up, but also having decent villains and a story that made it entertaining to see them fight alongside each other. They even had Supergirl wanting go with him, and Alex gave her a talking-to about standing on her own and remembering who was there for her throughout her childhood. Kara stuck to her own city! I'm not sure that we could tell she was someone specific, just that she was changing. It took me a second or two to get her reference to her "other" plane.
