My 1st golden age comic......if you still have yours show it off!!!

Just purchased it today. I have owned many many silver age books but never in almost 25 years have I had a golden age comic book in my collection. I love Batman (next for me is X-Men) I want to build a set from issue # 1 to issue #100. Will take me most likely 5 years but that is fine.

I was debating on doing this set or Detective comics but there is no way I could even get close to finishing that set.....way out of my league.

My first Golden was Action 10 i traded Bob Beerhead at pier 39. No i dont have that copy but i do have 1

My first was Superman #37, probably VG, from Fantasy Illustrated in Garden Grove, CA, around 1983, for the princely sum of $30.

My first GA book? No idea. The first one I bought that's still in my collection? Probably a little easier, but I could figure it out with a bit of digging.

My first was an issue of Daredevil Comics in the #40s, I don’t have it scanned…

My second was Daredevil Comics #12, with the origin of the Claw. I was thrilled when I received it.

My first was Marvel Mystery #59 for about $75 (it was pretty nice). Bought it from Iron Horse Graphics, a long-gone comic shop in Providence, RI, in about 1979. (I was 5 years old at the time. )

Around 1983 I recall trading my New X-Men/bought-off-the-stands-run for a Superman 26 and Weird Science 15. I think that deal was with the original Sparkle City.
