To answer your questions of which ones might be most valuable and/or hardest to find:   After years of searching and watching want lists from my friends, here is a listing of ones that I think are hard to find.   By no means is this list complete, but if you find any of these, you can consider yourself to be fairly lucky!    To get some of these, I've paid bounties of $100 and up.   If anyone finds an Action 705/706, Adv of Superman 530, Superman 95/117, or Superman MOS 49, please let me know as I still have outstanding bounties out for those variants.   I know for sure that Action 705 and 706 exist.

Action Comics 686 2nd print, 705, 706, 715, 718

Adventures of Superman 499 3rd print, 518-519, 524, 530 (might not exist), 531-532

Batman 516, 517, 524

Batman Adventures 18

Batman & Robin Adventures 1

Batman: Shadow of the Bat 38

Detective Comics 680, 682 (regular copy with orange background), 685, 691

Flash 117

Impulse 10

Justice League America 86, 107

Legionnaires 25

Robin 4, 14

Showcase '94 3

Steel 17, 23

Superboy 2, 30, 32

Superman 77 3rd print, 95 (might not exist), 96, 98, 117 (might not exist)

Superman Man Steel 42, 49 (49 might not exist)

Wonder Woman 92, 106

Have fun looking!

I left out Azrael 22 from the list.  Only one known copy out there

I think we can also say that these recently discovered issues like Superman 97 are hard to find.   Between all of us fanatics, I'm guessing several hundred copies of these comics have been looked at and only one DCU variant of those comics just recently surfaced

There are other books that have been discovered since the inception of this thread that would also likely make this list. I know that I found the Flash #94 and Looney Tunes #15, and maybe another book or two that is slipping my mind, and as far as I know those are the only copies known at the moment.

Anyone else care to share books they think are scarce or currently unique? We can further refine our lists this way if people volunteer the information (though I can understand why some may not want to).

For what it's worth, I know that I am having particular trouble finding Batman Adventures 36, Green Lantern 70, Steel 7, Superman Annual 8 and Wonder Woman 95.  I know that copies of BA 36 and WW 95 have been posted in this thread - not sure about the rest.

Maybe we also should have an easiest to find list.  I would nominate Green Lantern 50 to the top of the list.  I might be exaggerating, but I feel like I have even odds finding GL 50 vs. the direct or newsstand version.  Tec 676 seems to show up too easily too.  Superman Wedding (newsstand, non-all white) seems to show up a fair amount.  Robin 8 is everywhere.

I feel like some of the "keys" are easier to find, since people actually go to the trouble of digging them out of their collections to sell.  Flash 92, MOS 18 5th, MOS 19 3rd, DC vs. Marvel.  I don't think that I would have Nightwing #1 if they had not announced a movie a few months ago and folks starting listing them on eBay more than in the past.  We really need DC to announce Superman movies based on "Love Bites II", "Dead Again", "The Trial of Superman" and "The Death of Clark Kent" - that would help shake loose some HTF Action, AOS, MOS and Superman DCUs.  (shrug)

Todays score. All 1996 DCU gems

Nice pickups! That is only the second copy of the Catwoman I have seen (besides the one I bought), and the Flash is difficult as well. The Batman & Robin is the only book there that is more frequently seen, but none there are what I would call easy.

I managed to get a BA #36 from a boardie, but haven't seen one in the wild. I'm also missing WW #95, GL #70, and Superman Annual #8. I've got the Steel #7, and honestly can't remember anything specific about how I came across it.

Everyone's mileage may vary a bit in terms of some of the common books, but for me Green Lantern #52 and Superboy #4-5 are so common I have stopped buying them. Same with Adventures of Superman #508 (I must have 3-4 doubles of this at the moment). Superboy #1 is pretty common, Steel #1 is pretty common, as is the Supergirl #1. Batman #507 and 509 are pretty common. And I agree, Robin #8 is pretty common and so is #9. Flash #92 can be gotten off of eBay any day of the week if you want to pay the price. Really any of the Terminal Velocity Flash issues are reasonably common, save the #100 for some reason (I have only found one in the wild and it was hacked). Power of Shazam #19 is fairly common.

Certain collections are kind of funny that way. Like the Legacy books posted above, for example. The Catwoman is very difficult, but the Batman issues aren't that difficult. The Robin issues are less common, and the Detective issues are also less common in my experience. Seeing as how they were released as box sets, why are some issues from those sets not too bad while others are really hard?

On the flip side, I have only found one Batman Adventures DCU in the wild. No DC vs. Marvel found in the wild. The 1996 are generally tougher, though there are some exceptions (at least in my area). I finally got a Sovereign Seven #1, but that one is not easy.

There seems to have been some fairly common 20-pack bricks.   So the comics from those bricks are usually easy to find.  The dates of those bricks are:   Dec 93 (e.g., Batman 502, Adv of Superman 507), Jan 94 (e.g. Batman 503, Adv of Superman 508), Apr 94 thru Nov 94 (e.g. Batman 505-512 and Batman 0, Superman 512-517 and Adv of Superman 0).    After Nov 94, they get hard to find unless they appeared in boxed sets.    Examples of hard to find variants after Nov 94 include many of the ones you guys mentioned above plus TEC 680, 685. 691, Action 705, 706, Superman 96, 97, Superman MOS 42, Batman 517, 524, Adv of SM 524, 531.    Also hard to find are any of the Death of SM and Funeral for a Friend issues that have DC Universe on them (Superman 77, Action 686, SM Man of Steel 21, Adv of SM 499 etc)

Anything currently in stock on the Mile High website is also fairly easy to find.   If it was rare, they would no longer have it listed.

Maybe we should all show a list of what we currently have on hand, so that Revat could get an actual count of what's for sure out there.     It would be a little tedious, but that would give us some data.

The Action run would not have been possible without your help Mysterio, so hats off to you!   (worship)

It's a pleasure to be able to contribute in a small way. Thanks for posting the run photos!

I appreciate the enthusiasm and understand that there is something to be gained, but I will not be keeping counts or records of how many copies of each of these are known to be in existence, either individually or in aggregate.
