Someone listed a stunning Action Comics #10 CGC 4.0 on eBay...

122 posts in this topic

It has 4 pieces of interior tape, but WOW it presents well. I don't know the seller, but the listing looks legit. Price seems high(seems like a 10K per point book?), but he is accepting offers. If I had the cash, I'd be tempted to throw an offer his way. Such nice colors, and structurally looks beautiful...

Thats way better than a 4.0 I would send back than its worth what he wants.

I suspect that the 4 pieces of tape are all that's keeping the cover attached to the interior,so the grade makes sense. Still, a gorgeous 4.0.

13s are $10k a point and 7s are $30k a point. I think 10s are going $15k ish..? Nice book. The seller seems to not sell much comics..wonder if legit?

He probably submitted himself then, and will get zero favors on the grading without being a big cgc customer...I have heard.

You keep repeating this attack on CGC's honesty. What is the evidence that it's true?

The attack seems especially odd on an old label book, certified 13-14 years ago in CGC's infancy.

Ok so who is going to buy this? What are the chances that this book could be sitting in a new holder with a 5.0 on it? It does look awfully bright and pretty for the grade.

Wonder what the grader's notes look like? hm

He currently has 585 individual comic book listings on eBay. (shrug)

Granted, almost all of it is modern good girl cheesecake stuff. The Action #10 does stick out like a sore thumb amongst his listings.

Indeed.
