That is my favorite movie ending of all time, it's actually fun seeing people react to the first time seeing it. I'd love to erase that part of my brain and go back to relive how amazing that was the first time I saw it.

As far as favorite comic book movie scenes, V blowing up the Old Bailey is right up there. The classic music build up, Natalie Portman's reaction, the insane exuberance of V conducting the orchestra and - of course - the incredibly powerful political message of the movie make it a scene that usually entices me to rewatch the whole film at least once a year.

I have V For Vendetta on 4K disc and rewatched it. Still exciting and intense no matter the fact I know the entire movie throughout.

I remember seeing this movie in the theater back in the day with three other guys.

When it was over, we all kind of looked at each other, and someone said, "Well, that was different."

And we all just burst out laughing.

And it wasn't because we didn't like it.  It was just unlike anything we had seen before.  I guess it was tension relief or something.  Still remember "...and I'll burn his **** house down."

That movie was 2 hours of slow-paced character development, with an incredible 10-minute payoff for every single main character at the end. It's really a masterpiece. I saw it in the theater, and couldn't wait for it to come out on video to watch it again.
