The Face #2 - A possible pedigree book?

I intended to ask about this, but then it slipped my mind.

I bought my copy of The Face #2 from a dealer, raw, and it occurred to me it has a pencil mark on the cover which I seem to remind seeing elsewhere.

 

Just out of curiosity, could this be part of some recognized or unrecognized pedigree? Many thanks for all the possible input! (thumbs u

BTW, the Crippen pedigree has different kinds of pencil marks, right?

I don't think all the Crippen books have the markings inside. Didn't they end at some date? Besides, all the ones I have came with a certificate from Heritage.

It's got a cursive "D". What do the pages smell like?

There is already a known Mile High copy (see the Comic Book Pedigrees site) so that rules out one pedigree at least.

It doesn't have the foxing of a lot of the garage Crippens but it could be one of the stolen copies.

Pedigree or not, that's a cool book.
