February 2015 Heritage Auction

31 posts in this topic

I am most likely going to attend the auction in NY. I went once before, and it is a great opportunity to hold any of these items in your hands and check them out. I MUST see the Frazetta Death Dealer up close. There isn't as much actual figure as one might like...but to see that with my own eyes is a must. And other pieces by Williamson, Frazetta, Everett, Jack Davis, Wrightson...so many good ones to see for myself. The Peanuts will likely be in the display already.

And I may go hard after one piece if the stars align. I'm ascared a bit even.

I like the mcfarlane. Maybe it doesn't have the checklist of items you want for valuation but I always liked the image (shrug) For a collector who doesn't want to spend 100k I think its a really nice example.

Here's a list of artwork I submitted for the February 11th start date of the Winter Featured Auction, which I think will be posted up as part of their previews in the next week or so, so for the time being I'll include descriptions for that "theater of the mind" 'til you can get that "picture that says a thousand words" and see the artwork on ComicLink:

Captain America appears in all 6 panels and Falcon is in 5 of the 6 with Captain America. This issue was by written and penciled by Jack Kirby with inks by D. Bruce Berry

Jack Kirby created Captain America in 1941. It's always extra special to own artwork of a character rendered by the creator of that character.

The Falcon, created in 1969 was comic books first mainstream African American super-hero.

If you`re trying to express disapproval of a boardie pumping his books outside the sale forum, perhaps there are better ways besides quoting (and thereby reproducing) his entire, lengthy sales pitch?
