It might have something to do with the fact that their inner well often cause that same defect.

Yeah that bent overhang will do nothing to the grade. Even if it isn't pressed out, 9.2. Do you people that are grading this in the 8's and below actually submit books to CGC?

 

This isn't a measuring contest on who can undergrade the most. It always fascinates me how much people undergrade in these threads and somehow that never translates to selling threads.

Looking at it some more, if there is nothing wrong beyond what is in the scan (and that's a big assumption as scans can hide quite a bit), this has a shot at 9.4.
