Nuff said!

^^

There's a signed ASM #583 by the president. Probably worth more than many because he's still the sitting president.

I just said that. :makepoint:

Who needs something signed by a President when you have something signed by a King

Ahh...ok. No need to dig it out. I thought you meant an original painting.

There are tons of Dali lithos out there.

When Dali died, he left tons of signed blank sheets of paper so there will be new lithographs for some time to come.

Doesn't surprise me at all.

From the information I can find, the one I have was produced around 1940 and the purchase receipt is from the 70's before Dali died.

Some kind of D Li Appartion Da Ma Cousine Carolinetta series or something. I don't know. Art is weird.

Personally it would be Frazetta. I have no clue who had the most valuable sig.

A board member owns/owned this.

Frazetta's 1st professional work, signed by Frazetta. And even better, the book is from the Edgar Church Collection.

Why would someone have him autograph someone else's cover? It would have made more sense to have him autograph the splash page of his own story. If the owner wanted to be able to see the autograph in the slab, maybe he could have had Frazetta sign in the margin of the back cover rather than having one artist sign another artist's work.

There are a couple of artists that feel strongly the same way that you do - so strongly that they will not sign a book on the cover that they did not draw. But most artists are happy to sign the book if they worked on it, and some will sign anything that you put in front of them.

I have no problem having an interior-only artist sign the cover of a book.
