How are the stories in Amazing-Man? I've flirted with getting one for a long time.

They're good - try to get an Everett issue (up to #11) if you can.

Your right on the early number stories are the best with Bill E.art.

Hello comic-fans,

we are a German publishing house (Bildschriftenverlag Hannover) and we want to launch a book on the Centaur Publishing in Germany. As cover we want to use the cover of Amazing Man No. 26. Unfortunatey we don`t have that comic ourselves, so we ask the community to provide us with a good scan (400 to 600 dpi) of that rare cover.

As we are only a small company with a low budget we can not pay, but your name would appear in the credits and of course we would send a copy of the finished book.

We hope that someone can help us.

Regards

the BSV Publisher

The author of the book is looking for any information anyone has on Mark Schneider who is the artist who drew the "Eye" story in KDF 20, taking over from Frank Thomas.

Does anyone know what happened to Frank? Did he leave Centaur for some other company?

Frank Thomas had some sporadic comic book work published through WWII - I'm not a Disney guy so don't know when he went to work for them.

There is something out there on Mark Schneider, but I can't remember where (big help, I know).

Both guys had distinctive styles, I really enjoy Thomas' work (e.g., The Owl in Crackajack Funnies).

When I think of Thomas, those are the books I think of.

FYI, Frank Thomas definitely drew the Eye story in KDF 20, not Schneider. Also the cover.

if I have time this week, I will post my centaurs... as some have noted and noticed, I stopped posting pics of books I personally pick up some time back...

but, since centaur is such a niche title, I will take some pics this weekend if I have time
