I can see how some would wonder about that as a success factor. It was ordered pretty heavy. Maybe BKV and Image have a really good idea of accurate numbers for his titles so they print heavier than other titles who rely on additional printing "heat".

That's probably another reason there hasn't been any 2nd printings.

 

 

I'm enjoying the story but it's a little odd. I'm sure as more things get flushed out it will start to make more sense to me. Overall I will continue to read it as BKV normally brings the goods.

Overall I like BKV, personally think that Y and the initial Runaways series are some of the best comics to come out in the last 20 years. I am reading Saga but am still somewhat indifferent on it. Like I said just started Paper Girls last night, and not sure what I think yet.

 

The only variant I know of for a BKV book is the first issue of Saga, but I know his TPB do extremely well. Another thing that is frustrating at times, but I overall appreciate is sticking with one artist for the entire run. Gives a level of consistency that is rarely seen anymore.
