PART V: (sorry, it's been a while folks...)

Let's continue....Here is my original disclaimer for new players:

 

I've noticed that a lot of folks have had guesses wildly different from CGC results and decided to start a series of posts to help close the gap. At any rate, it should be fun to see how close you are.

Disclaimer: My collection is primarily golden age, so that is what I'll be posting by-and-large, although I have (had) a handful of Silver keys that I'll post for fun.

All of the books I post here are former-CGC books (because that's the way I like'em) and I will provide high resolution scans of the raw book and, after at least 10 15 guesses, I will post the label. Grades vary from low to high. "

How many interior pages does the stain penetrate?

 

My guess: 4.0 if the stain doesn't penetrate and there's no odor. If so then 3.0/3.5. I'm giving it the GA bump.

 

 

 

moderate spine roll, spine wear, and fanned pages can't allow it higher than a 6.0

The 1/8"-1/4" chips out of the corners brings it down further

The stain shouldn't allow it to be higher than a 5.0 by itself but with all the other accumulation of stuff, it couldn't be higher than a 4.0.

 

 

 

If you were to straighten out the spine roll... hm
