I'd want an experts opinion as a lot of back covers look alike but they have very minute detail changes.

I have a copy of Tec 27 and Adventure 38. This is the only back cover inside and out that everything is the same. My Action 13 back cover is the same as Tec 28 inside and out i had both . A lot of covers look 99% the same but there are diff yes.

( I am not an expert but i did sleep in an holiday inn ? )

Sometimes the difference in detail can be as small as a few digits or letters being different in the ad. We're talking tiny.

I know a few covers that have been mixed up that way, I just don't remember what they are.

The addresses used in the ad or different.

Comics from different titles for the same month may have variances in coupon codes. One might have something like A-12B in the corner of the coupon and another may have A-14D. That way the advertiser knows which comics are producing more sales.

It may also go by the genre of the book. I know in the Marvel pre-hero days, all of the monster books (Amazing Adventures, Journey into Mystery, etc) would have one code, the westerns (Two-Gun Kid, Rawhide Kid, etc) would have another and the humor books (Millie, Patsy, etc) would have a different.

Getting back on target, I think the three May 1938 comics with the Action 1 ad that pre-date Action 1 are super-underrated. They are the first "true" printed image of Superman. The first look at a caped superhero ever. It's the beginning of a whole genre that's been around for generations. And the basis of the entire hobby. Not to mention the ad pictures the most iconic book cover in history.

What do they guide for? A few thousand bucks? When Action 1 in high grade is $3 million or whatever?

I know a lot of collectors say it's just an ad, big deal. But to me, it is huge.

My 2 cents.

Size doesn't matter.
