As of now, I will be amongst the crowd. As was stated before... no matter what the weather is, brave the cold and come without a jacket.

This is a pretty good show. It's well located and it's mostly vintage comics dealers -- most of the NYCC dealers are here. Relatively speaking, very few cosplayers blocking aisles to pose for photos. It's old school. The facility could be bigger, but it's not expensive to get in, so no complaints.

Big Apple Con Welcomes Neal Adams!

Neal had legendary ‘runs’ on Batman, X-Men, Green Lantern/Green Arrow and Deadman. Adams rescued Batman from the campy TV show, and transformed him into his present, “Avenger of the Night” persona. When people say ‘modern Batman,’ they mean Neal Adams’ Batman. His run led directly to the realistic incarnation seen in “Batman Returns”, and the “The Dark Knight” movies.

The Big Apple Con Welcomes Erik Larsen!

Erik's work at DC spans Teen Titans, The Outsiders, Doom Patrol and The Adventures of Superman. He also did work with Ethan Van Sciver on Cyberfrog published by Harris Comics in the mid 90's. While at Marvel Erik Larsen replaced Todd Mc Farlane on Amazing Spider Man where he created Whiplash, Tri-Sentinel and Cardiac. On Spider Man he also added his own unique and creative flare to Venom (a never ending tongue and jaw, with an abundance of teeth and venom). When Erik left Marvel he helped to establish Image Comics. His character Savage Dragon is very popular among fans. At Image he has also created the superhero freak team Freak Force as well as Superpatriot, Vanguard, Liberty and Justice (just to name a few).
