Dude. This show blows Gossip Girl out of the water. This is like if all those shows actually had heart to go with the wit and action...

:applause:

I enjoyed it.

it's got tween :luhv: , mystery, drama

And all the Archie universe characters to build on.

It felt more like the new Archie series than old. But i expected it to.

I'll for sure watch the whole season. :whee:

Excellent review! I was wondering how die hard Archie fans would feel about the changes. I loved the first episode and I am not a big TV watcher these days. I was excited for the show when it was first announced.

I agree the writers gave the show/characters everything to bring Archie to the modern era. Casting was fantastic for parties all around. I liked that Jughead was in the background yet in the center of all things. They even made Archie look cool without trying too hard. I think my only disappointment was the nontraditional Josie band.

I now want to pick up Mark Waid's Archie trades.

I see Ms. Grundy and Archie is already causing a meltdown in some circles (not here). It's no different than Pacey in Dawson's Creek. Was it a big deal back then?

I loved it. It felt familiar but new. It's exactly one of a few ways an Archie tv show could exist and succeed in today's market.

It may not be for everyone and will turn off some die hard fans but it's a good show on its own.
