Bella Thorne Wants To Play A Female Version Of Deadpool

deadpool-bellathorne-180056.png

"Honestly, if I could just play a female version of 'Deadpool,'" the 18-year-old told Moviefone, while promoting her upcoming her new television series, Famous in Love. "-- any character that's a female version of Deadpool -- I'm so down!"

As luck would have it, a female version of Deadpool does exist in the Marvel universe. There's Wanda Wilson, aka Lady Deadpool, who hails from an alternate reality known as Earth-3010.

Tim Miller said: “There’s a lot about Cable’s history that I like because he’s so intertwined with the world of the X-Men” he explained. “Why he was put together with Deadpool – other than that he was in a comic that wasn’t selling well and Deadpool was in a comic that wasn’t selling well so they put them together – it’s the same reason we had Colossus; he’s a straight man. And I think Deadpool needs a straight man. Cable is the ultimate, archetypal, silent, strong and cynical warrior, which Deadpool is not.”

Cable is always more interesting when has some other people to play off of, and his various team-ups with Deadpool are no exception. Reese agrees that it works because of what Cable brings to Deadpool's world. “Strength, gravitas, a purposefulness that Deadpool doesn’t have. Deadpool’s kind of got ADD, and we think of Cable as someone who locks onto something and is going to get that thing solved no matter what.”

Kevin Feige Addresses If Deadpool Will Appear At Marvel Studios

DEADLINE: Deadpool was just such a lightning bolt, an R-rated movie Marvel Comics character that shows there is room for racy superheroes. You are at family-friendly Disney. Any thought to getting into the R-rated superhero game?

FEIGE: No, we’ve not had any specific conversations about that. And that is only part of the takeaway from Deadpool. The thing that Deadpool shows is, when you present something unique to an audience, they will respond to it. When you present something as popular as a superhero character, in a different and unique and crazy way as they did in Deadpool, it demands attention and audiences went to it. They pulled it off. Tim Miller did a tremendous job. The other secret, and why it’s still a secret, I don’t know, but they just took what Deadpool is in the comics. He breaks the fourth wall. He talks into the camera. He doesn’t give a sh*t about any of the other heroes. He doesn’t take anything seriously. All of that is what made Deadpool so popular in the comics. Tim and his writers and Ryan Reynolds were able to get that and even magnify that up on the big screen. We’ve always said if there’s any “secret” it’s respect the source material, understand the source material and then, any adaptation you make from the source material should be done only to enhance whatever the original pure spirit of the source material was. Deadpool hit on all cylinders with that.

Hey Fox, now that you figured out the secret sauce by delivering THE most profitable and very entertaining Marvel movie ever, take note of this with all other properties.

Bryan Singer On Potential Deadpool X-Men Movie Crossover

While the success of Deadpool as a solo character may make a crossover with the core films seem inevitable, Singer explains that the tonal difference between the two film series makes it a delicate situation to consider.

“If you take a character as irreverent and meta as Deadpool and connect him to something as grounded and serious as X-Men, you have to do it carefully and gently,” Singer tells Variety. “When you drop them all in together it can be a disaster. That has to be done delicately, but there’s plenty of room to do it.”

Glad at least they are considering the atmosphere differences, and how it can impact the core of a character.

Dolph Lundgren Wants To Play Cable In Deadpool 2

Dolph Lundgren, who played Frank Castle in the often-forgotten 1989 film, The Punisher, says he is open to returning to the Marvel universe and knows who he wants to play.

Lundgren told Nerdist that he has his eye on Cable, the powerful mutant with a messiah complex. He noticed that he shares a resemblance with the character and is fully-aware that Cable will be included in Tim Miller's Deadpool sequel.

Seriously, we're thirty years into Dolph's acting resume now. Was Universal Soldier his best performance? lol

Universal Soldier was great. Loved how bad it was. Some true classic lines in that one. One of the most fun times I ever had in a theatre was going to see that one.

My buddy and I went, knowing exactly what it was going to be, and we just cracked on it the entire time. At the beginning, a few people shot us dirty looks (they were wanting to take it seriously).

By midway, everyone in the theatre had joined us. It was like starring in our very own MST3000. So much fun.

T.J. Miller Wants To Return As 'Weasel' For More DEADPOOL And X-MEN Films

In a new interview with CinemaBlend, Miller revealed some of the details of his X-Men contract, and whether we'll see the character in the future or not. “Deadpool is not going anywhere anytime soon,” Miller said. “I think there’s probably going to be three more installments, a Weasel spin-off. I’m contractually obliged to do the cameos in other X-Men universe stuff, so there’s plenty more Deadpool to come.”

“I’m excited about the prospect of a Weasel spin-off,” he said, “because he makes this super suit, that’s not great and it’s a superhero in Las Vegas protects casinos. I mean, it just, everything about it is perfect for me…what if the Iron Man suit was sort of budget, like he can’t fly, but he can hover three or four feet.” Miller is joking of course, but this isn't entirely out of the question, as it happened in the comics when Weasel took on the short-lived identity of 'The House'. Given Deadpool's style, it's quite likely they could adapt this to poke fun at the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A Weasel spin-off.

I for one will be looking forward to the weasel/squirrel girl slug-fest at the end.

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge Wants To Play Cable In Deadpool Movie

Haven3-AdamCopeland1.jpg

Always the planner, it hasn't stopped the former WWE superstar from pondering about what other projects he could take on in the future. Recently a tweet from Christina Freeman caught his attention. The tweet said: "I'd like to see @EdgeRatedR as Cable for the @deadpool movie sequel. #Marvel Think it would be really interesting."

In response, the star typed: "Yeah I could (get) behind that."

The star certainly has the demeanor to pull the role off, and with Deadpool Director Tim Miller at the helm, having someone who is used to being witty on the fly would most likely be a plus.

6'5" tall, 240 pounds. He definitely would stand out. But acting delivery?
