Based on interviews, it seems that this series will be introducing modern versions of the villains. Maybe some books will hold value long term in the run.

Who's on art duty this time?

One writer multiple artists...similar to how Thief of Thieves had guest writers. I'm assuming Snyder is taking Duke with him to his All Star title (although he's on the front cover of Batman 1 standing next to Gordon). Not sure why he's in dress clothes (maybe. I have a feeling they're keeping his role very close to the vest so you only see him from the neck up for the most part.

Will this be part of the regular universe, or self contained stories?

 

Sorry for the questions. I've been bummed about Snyder leaving the main title. 5 solid years of great writing is hard to leave behind.

I hope it's not a self contained universe....i'm hoping Batwoman comics will pick up now that she's going to be hanging out full time with Batman in Detective.

I think it's a neat idea to rotate artists, but since the art can affect the story so much (imho) i would love if they stuck to 1 artist. jock would be awesome depending on the tone of the book. I want my Snyder/Lee team back!!

Me neither. If it is half as good as Snyder's previous Batman work, I will be very pleased.

It is on pre-sale in the current Previews. 4 variants including a blank cover. My guess is that the Jock variant will be the one to have.
