The story inside calls them "metal men" and it's not really a battle as depicted on the cover, more like shooting fish in a barrel!

It's okay - if you can handle really intense colors.

We jump from 8 to 17?? tsk tsk. Well I love looking at this book and 17 is one of my favorites in the run also.

I don't know if Chuck cares about Planets but can you imagine what it was like looking through the stack of Planet Comics and to see this book 30 years after it was purchased in Edgar Churches basement?

Would have loved to have been there. I had a nice chunk of those for a little while. I should have kept a few more.

You're right, I think we've had more people post an 8 than any other issue so far this week.  I'm also aware of at least 4 other boardies with a copy who didn't post.  That's quite a few copies accounted for here.

On to issue 9.  One of the weaker covers among the "rivets" in my opinion, but not an easy one to come by.  This is my lowest graded rivet, but the colors are pretty strong.

It's also one of the relatively few Church Planets with super saturated colors.

Yeah, I have had several copies of this book and this is a close 2nd in saturation to a 5.0 white pages copy I had.
