Great pic Rick.  I had such a thrill following that auction, I wish I would've jumped on one issue and I'm sure I would be ok now with the price.  Good you kept the 17, that thing is incredible.  

And glad to see Zolne getting in on the action, that Larson 6 is amazing!

Here is my 9.  A bit rough but nice color.

I even let the 17 go for a while but a respected boardie was kind enough to sell it back to me.

That Church Planet auction was a once-in-a-lifetime event.

I know this is like blasphemy, but my favorite thing at Five Guys is their bacon hot dog.

And you're right, that Church auction was awesome.  I do regret not going harder after some of them.

Okay, on to issue 10!  One of my very favorite covers of the run.

This book is special to me.  I paid market prices for pretty much all of my Planet Comics purchases, never found one at the flea market for cheap or anything cool like that.  This is the closest I came.  I found this one for sale on Atomic Avenue of all places.  It was listed as a 4.0 and they were asking a very low price.  No scans though.  I'd never had a 10 and wanted one badly, and I didn't want to lose it to another buyer while trying to message the seller for scans, etc., so I pulled the trigger never having seen the book!  A week or so later, I was thrilled to open the package and find this bad boy inside (which I later had slabbed).

I love issue #10 as well! I had a hard time finding a copy of 10 when I was frantically buying Planets. Bought the first one I saw which was this copy that I bought on Heritage Auctions:

Love seeing all the great Planets. Especially like the 8’s. I let one go a long time ago and been chasing another one ever since. Everyone has such great copies shown here.

This is my 10. Love the black background cover, bright colors throughout and composition of 10. The aliens electro-eyes are such a cool detail.

Wild cover. Is it a rare issue? I can’t recall seeing many copies.

I wouldn't say rare - scarce maybe. But it is an issue cursed by variable color saturation (though not as much as the next issue, which I have kept.)

Amazing copy!  Between you and Zolne, the first and second best copies of this great book both belong to boardies!

Yes, as Flex said, definitely a lot variation in color when it comes to this one.

Planet 11 was the first Planet I ever purchased (and first golden age book I ever purchased).  It was a 1.8 copy.  I later upgraded to this one.

Also, the cover artist for this one is up for debate, but to me, the girl looks just like a Zolnerowich girl.
