Is it rarer than the others or does it fly under the radar compared to the other great covers/stories in the run?

 

It hit my radar but I can't speak for anyone else. It is a relatively harder to book to find than some of the others in the run.

Yep. I think this Elias effort is much better, though....

 

An excellent cover by Elias -- abetted by some very striking coloring!

I have a smattering of pre-code horror books. I'll start with a couple of Atlases. This one has a nice Basil Wolverton story.

You can't really tell from the scan but I think this is from the Fawcett era when they used some metallic inks on the covers. I can see it when I look at the comic closely, especially the face of Dr. Death.

There's no way this copy competes with Adamstrange's, but it's a neat book anyway. It has a Basil Wolverton story too.
