I've never owned one, or a set of the covers, but I often contemplated adding one to my ashcan collection. Now that I've downsized my collection that won't be happening, but it's a cool book nonetheless.

I had a set of the covers think i sold them for 600.00 around 1985

 

I have a set of covers I bought from Mark Zaid a few years ago. At the time, he had several sets. I don't remember where he got them from.

This will be interesting to see what the auction ends at, then calculating what a complete copy in restored condition would value at. If nothing else, it's nice to see one up for grabs and testing the waters.

The answer is yes, I think.  The second raw copy listed above seems to have been the copy sold in the Dec 2016 CC auction.  There it was labeled the Overstreet copy (rather than socal as in this list).
