So has it been officially confirmed that this isn’t Lois, even when considering the possibility of how the hair color may have been a mistake?

They'd never make such an obvious hair color mistake on a Superman book! :slapfight:

Wanted to bump this up - I understand that Overstreet now lists Action 27 as the 1st Lois Lane Cover - assumign this is correct (I do nto have the new Overstreet) - how long will it be before CGC adjusts their label to reflect Action 27 as the first Lois cover?

I am trying to hunt down a low grade Action 27 (shameless plug if someone is selling a CGC 2.0 or so) - but wondering if I can send it in for a label upgrade.

I am guessing CGC added #27 as the 1st Lois cover, and didn't change the #29 notation.

CGC Needs to make up its mind on which is the 1st LL cover.

@valiantman So which one is it?

It's definitely the #27 unless you believe that it's #29.  These are what people now like to call "alternative facts".  :insane:

#27 certainly looks like a Lois Lane cover, but since it doesn't reference an actual story, I guess we will never be certain of the artist's intent. Either way, #29 is undoubtably a classic Lois Lane cover, which alone could justify added value.

I like #29 because it looks like a "sequel" to Action Comics #1 where the bad guys got the car fixed, made it a convertible, and figured kidnapping Lois Lane as revenge for Action #1 would be a good plan. :insane:

What are you taking about? It absolutely references a story, the story in Action Comics #27. In the story, Lois Lane Is wearing the exact yellow dress you see on the cover! What more proof does anyone need?

Overstreet agrees...just waiting for CGC to note on their labels....also waiting for CGC to note "1st round shield" on their Cap #2 labels, but that's another issue. :preach:

Resurrecting this thread to ask a question: for those of you who own a copy of Action 23, is Lois Lane seen in the story(ies)?

Action23F.jpg

She is in the comic.

She does not fall.

Superman does not catch her.

She does not wear that dress.

The story does not take place in a city with buildings that size.

Would it be safe to say that, like many GA covers, the art on the cover often has nothing to do with stories within?
