Maybe we need a poll on who has been laid and who hasn't and get it over with :eyeroll:

trying to link buying certain comics to being a sexual harasser is more than messed up.

Slym reported his own thread.

:o What?! Really?

Yes, really. The fact there was a "master list" was really the problem, IMHO. So, I asked the mods to remove it.

If someone else wants to start a new one, my only suggestion is to keep it to personal posts, no "master list."

I'm sorry for any problems I may have inadvertently caused anyone.

I don't get that guy. He keeps making sales thread after sales thread only to get them deleted. Why does he continue to waste his time? No one wants anything from him that knows him and his avatar is dumb as *spoon*

I don't follow this. What do you mean by a "master list" and what do you mean by "personal posts"?

What is your objection to the "master list"?

I believe the intent of the thread was that people would post their story about an individual eBay transaction and buyer so that the rest of the forum could decide for themselves whether or not to block the buyer.

Instead, people were posting their entire existing blocked buyer "master list", one of which included Slym.

The argument is that it was unfair to post entire lists with no explanation of what the buyer did to deserve it. There was also an extreme lack of transparency where someone could have appeared on one of these lists because of a personal grudge or dislike or anything else.

If people began blocking these entire "master lists" then some people, e.g. Slym, may be unfairly blocked by someone blindly trusting someone else's list.

 That is a terrific explanation. I never really looked at the list. I don't sell much so (shrug) But couldn't understand why a "master list" wasn't a good idea. Now I can understand that there could be hidden vendettas backing that list.

I thought there would be discussion behind throwing out names.

Like "I want to add JohnSmith123 because he never paid me...." sort of additions. Not just dumping names onto a list. doh!

The fact that publishers, artists, writers, readers and collectors still want/produce this kind of stuff is a sad indictment of the industry.

If only they could produce some well-written stories then I could probably live with having well-endowed women being thrust at me from the pages of a comic book.

They're producing it because people are buying it, so it's more an indictment of the consumer. I said this many years ago on here but I think some people buy these books and ogle cosplayers at cons because it's an 'innocent' and under the radar way of getting their soft porn fix.

Ok, if we are going to psychoanalyze that somehow buying a J. Scott Campbell cover means you are trying to get your soft porn fix, then please analyze the mental issues of all the 30-50 year old men on here read comic books with men in tights trying to save the world.

I didn't say fantasy of any sort was bad and I wasn't passing judgement. It all depends on how much of it someone needs. If you're going to teach people to walk off building ledges then I'd say you're over doing it. Regardless, I stand by my comment. Part of the appeal of Sojourn was the hot chicks and how Greg Land drew them, and I can say that my ex hated that book for the very same reason.

Remember, I'm a comic book nerd who happens to love stories about men in tights and I find women attractive. I'm not judging anyone. (shrug)

oxymoron - unless you find all women attractive.

You can make it one if you want to but then you're taking what I said out of it's original context.

I don't think anybody can find all people and all things attractive but if you want to discuss it, I think I do find something attractive in most people and most things. It's the hippie in me.

But in the context of the discussion you said you didn't judge anyone after making a comment on attractiveness, which as an evaluator is inherently judgmental...thus oxymoronic.
